--- FEDERAL BANKING REGULATORS THAT GET RESULTS ---
(Based upon that / their widespread reputation, and my experiences with them in many other matters.)
--------------------- oOo ---------------------
FEDERAL Regulators take nefarious and/or bad banking practices quite a bit more serious than local "regulators". Local "regulators" are often too "comfy" with Banks' $$$$$ and influence. And besides those influences having long inspired a systematic nature to filter out / discourage complaints; Local regulators systems also have a nature that tries to discourage complaints to reduce their workload. Local regulators' systems are designed and managed to make it quite a chore to get truely effective results, and even less often to be fairly compensated for being a victim of even deliberate bad banking practices. BUT local "regulators" wake up when the Feds come calling; Especially when trends of nefarious and/or bad banking practices are indicated by an abnormal number of complaints. So if you've made it this far with dis-satisfaction with Bank of Hawaii (or any other bank or financial institution), then you might consider it helping others to go a bit farther and file a complaint with the Feds. Please notice that there is a direct phone number and email address listed below to financial CUSTOMER Specialists; But if you have the ability and desire to do some homework first, ...it is usually much better to do homework first so you might have a better picture and general understanding of what a Specialist might recommend you do:
