HIDING EMAIL ADDRESSES FROM DATA MINING ROBOTS: Many data mining companies use computers that search the internet looking for email addresses to add to their lists that they use and/or sell and/or share, usually for spam. Those data mining computers "robots" are specifically looking for '@' in email addresses. To hide your email address from the robots, simply type [AT] in your email address instead of @ . Most people reading it will recognize that as your correct address and will use the @ when emailing you, ...but the spam mining spiders won't be able to recognize it as an email address. |
